Christmas-mysteriesAh, Christmas mysteries. What a fun way to break away from all the hectic world of getting ready for the holidays. Many of our favorite mystery authors included a Christmas story or two. Here are some of the favorites from that world for you to enjoy.

The Mystery Series Go for Christmas

Don’t you know, some of our favorite mystery series have a Christmas version. After all, who can resist setting their famous sleuths in the world of the holidays for a little murder and mayhem? The reality is that we all love a good mystery. Add in a Christmas setting and we have some fun.

Getting in That Festive Mood

If you’re anything like me, you take every opportunity to get in the holiday spirit. Reading a good mystery is fun any time. Now, combine the two and get a good Christmas mystery. At Mystery Book World, we’ve made no bones about using every excuse to read a good mystery. Including, but not limited to, those wacky holidays. Even though most of us don’t consider Christmas a wacky holiday, it’s still a great excuse to read a good mystery.

60 Christmas Mysteries in One

The grand finale of our Christmas mysteries is, of course, a compilation book. The Big Book of Christmas Mysteries is just that. 60 novels all in one place and all about the holidays. Edited by Otto Penzler, an Edgar award-winning editor. Many of our all-time favorites are included here. From authors of all time, like Arthur Conan Doyle and Thomas Hardy, along with more contemporary authors like Sara Paretsky.

This collection has it all. Crime stories, poisoned puddings, murder under the mistletoe, and more. Visit Christmas mysteries with Miss Marple, Ellery Queen and Mary Higgins Clark. To name just a few of the great ones included.

Without a doubt, your fun mystery reading time will be enhanced this holiday with lots of Christmas mysteries just for the fun of it. So pick your favorite book, curl up in your best reading chair and enjoy yourself.
